Lab Philosophy & Goals
The lab is committed to an inclusive and team-oriented work environment that promotes each lab member’s career goals and personal advancement. We seek highly motivated individuals to join us to conduct basic and applied science related to fresh waters. Much of our research is inspired by the need to inform the conservation and management of freshwater resources. We will offer a supportive and stimulating environment for all types of research involving experiments, field studies, and modeling. We respect and value all members no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, disability, or religion. We will not tolerate discriminatory behavior in any form and we embrace diversity.

Department of Environmental SciencesThe Department is a group of interdisciplinary scientists whose research and teaching interests address human impacts on the environment, earth surface processes, and ecosystem science.
University of Toledo
UT provides an excellent opportunity for the study of freshwater ecology, conservation, and environmental science. There are multiple wetlands and rivers, and combined with its location near Lake Erie and a large human population, the area makes for an ideal natural laboratory.
